In the UK, standard “core” vaccinations are given for:
Dogs - Canine distemper, canine parvovirus, infectious hepatitis and leptospirosis (2 commonest strains.)
Cats - Cat flu (FVRT and FCV), and feline infectious enteritis.
Feline Leukemia is not a core vaccination. (Now very rare, and only contracted by very close contact between cats).
With the exception of Kennel Cough vaccination, primary vaccination for dogs and cats is 2 injections - for puppies and kittens generally given at 9 and 12 weeks of age. Boosters are yearly.
Please note, for second vaccinations for puppies and kittens, given their first vaccination by the breeders, the 2nd needs to be the same brand, or a compatible brand, so unless the 1st was Vanguard for dogs, or Versifel for cats, a special order/prescription for the 2nd by ourselves, needs to be made. Please enquire within.

Similar to people, pets may occasionally experience soreness at the site of vaccination or a slight fever, causing anorexia and lethargy. These symptoms usually improve within 24 hours. Actual allergic reactions are extremely rare. If your pet has received a vaccination at the clinic within the last 24 hours and you have concerns, please telephone 01673 274 724 to speak to the Veterinary Surgeon Please note, VetPet clinic is not a general veterinary practice, and no drugs are kept at the clinic.
